DESCRIPTION

NMN (Nicotinamide Mononucleotide) is an essential co-factor of the energy metabolism of cell.  NMN is precursor of NAD, a coenzyme naturally present in all living cells, essential for energy metabolism, cellular repair and regulation of longevity. Endogenous NMN levels decrease in the cells progressively with age. This process  contributes to the decline in mitochondrial function and consequently to the reduction of the capacity to respond to cellular stress and it represents one of the first step of senescence of skin cells.
